I grew up sailing out of Jamestown, RI, and started racing dinghies for my high school (receiving co-MVP awards my junior and senior years). I went on to race for Boston University where I switched from crewing to skippering, and was captain of the BU Women’s Sailing Team during the 2012-13 academic year.
Beginning in May 2014 I worked as crew on the 12 Meter Yacht “Gleam,” built in 1937.
Since then I accumulated 11,000 offshore miles and 1500+ coastal miles. I completed my first Atlantic crossing in December 2015 from the Canary Islands to St. Lucia.
Over the last two years I have worked on the 12 meter class yacht “Intrepid” as first mate and relief captain. Our program is full time day charters with a part time race program, including 5 regattas each summer.
I am currently based in the Caribbean on a 115′ Staysail schooner, and will be available in the Spring of 2018 for deliveries and part time work. I am actively looking for the right full time position to advance my knowledge of marine systems, boat handling, and navigation.
